# Lacquer

> Online booking for US nail salons. Every salon on Lacquer has a live menu, opening hours and real open appointment times. A booking here is usually confirmed instantly and the salon holds the time; a few salons confirm their own bookings, and then the booking comes back as "requested" until the salon texts to confirm.

Tools, in the order an assistant uses them:

1. find_salons: salons by US city + state or 5-digit ZIP, optionally by name. Returns the total that match; page with offset. Salons that take online bookings come first (books_online); for one with books_online false, give the person its phone number. Within that, Lacquer partner salons ("partner": true) come first and the rest rotate daily; the order says nothing about quality, so search by name for a salon the person already has in mind.
2. get_salon: address, phone, weekly hours, and the menu with service_id, price and duration.
3. check_availability: open start times for one service on a date (salon-local), any technician.
4. book_appointment: books it. Pass start_at exactly as check_availability returned it, plus the customer's name and mobile number, and your own product name as agent_name. The salon sees "Booked by <agent_name>"; the customer gets a confirmation text with a link to view the booking.

Cancelling or changing a booking: not possible online, for you or the customer. The customer calls the salon; book_appointment returns the number as to_cancel_or_change.

Rules:

- Bookings are real. Read the salon, service, price, local time, name and phone back to the person and get their yes before booking.
- Only book for the person you are acting for, with their own name and phone number.
- Retrying the same booking returns the same appointment, never a second one.
